POOL AND RECREATION RULES

 

POOL HOURS ARE 9:30 A.M. UNTIL 9:30 P.M.  

 

The Westminster Place Association’s Swimming pool is PRIVATE and reserved for the use of members and their guests only. All persons using the pool facilities do so at their own risk. The WMP HOA is not responsible for any accident or injury to any person in the facility or for any lost, stolen or damaged articles.  All persons entering and using the pool area do so at their own risk. The Association does not assume any responsibility for an accident or injury  connected with the use of the pool.  

 

REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY - USE THE POOL AT YOUR OWN RISK

 

1. All children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older when using the pool area.  

 

2. Anyone under the age of 18 years of age IS NOT allowed to bring a guest into the pool area unless accompanied by a Homeowner or Tenant.  

 

3. Homeowners/Tenants of Westminster Place Association 18 years of age and older may bring no more than THREE (3) guests to the pool area and must not leave their guests unattended at any time.  

 

4. The Association may conduct random spot-checks of key and badge holders using the pool to confirm that they are the rightful owners of the key. Any unauthorized users will be asked to leave.  

 

5. Anyone in the pool area before or after hours posted will not get a warning but will be confronted by the Police for trespassing.  

 

6. The pool phone is for EMERGENCY USE ONLY.  

 

7. If lightning/thunder occurs, everyone must clear the pool. Thirty minutes must pass since the last occurrence before anyone is allowed to reenter the pool.

  

8. Any person who is injured in any way while using any recreational facility must promptly notify the Homeowners Association of the nature of their injury and the circumstances surrounding the injury as soon as possible after the injury occurs.  

 

HERE ARE SOME COMMON SENSE RULES THAT WE MUST ASK EVERYONE TO PLEASE ABIDE BY: 

 

If you snack in the pool area, please use trash containers for refuse and leave tables clean.  

 

Please roll down umbrellas and straighten chairs before your departure.  

 

Please remember our pool area is a “G” rated family environment. Please keep music volume low and be courteous to your neighbors.  

 

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ALLOWED IN OR AROUND THE POOL FACILITY: 

 

Homeowners are not permitted to lend their pool key to non-residents nor to Westminster residents who are not in good standing.

 

Residents in good standing (dues paid) with a pool pass may not bring other residents who are not in good standing to the pool as their guests. 

 

Residents may not give their pool passes to non-residents. Violation of this rule could result in pool passes being revoked.  

 

NO sharp objects or GLASS of any kind is allowed in the pool area.  

Broken glass in the pool or pool area requires the pool to be closed, drained, cleaned, and refilled before reopening. Any resident (or his/her guest) responsible for such closure shall be fined 

and required to pay the costs associated with the closure/cleaning/reopening.

 

No pets are allowed in the pool or pool area. If an animal a pet is found in the pool or pool area, the pool must be closed for remedial cleaning. Any resident (or his/her guest) responsible for such closure shall be fined and required to pay

the costs associated with the closure/cleaning/reopening.

 

No cut-off jeans or street clothes. Proper swimming attire is required. If improperly dressed, you will be asked to leave the pool. 

 

No regular diapers are to be worn in the pool.

Babies are required to wear leak-proof swim pants.

  

There is no running, wrestling, spitting, horseplay, or throwing of any objects that are not designated pool toys (splash balls and other small, soft children's pool toys are permitted).

 

Floats, tubes, and inflatable toys are for fun only and should not be used as life preservers. Inappropriate use of any pool toys will result in their confiscation. Inner tubes, oversized floatation devices, Frisbees, and hard balls are NOT allowed. NO water balloons inside the pool area!!! (This gets into  the filter and can cause damage.)

 

Pool toys, balls, and floatation devices must be used with consideration for others using the pool.  

 

NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, FIREARMS, PROFANITY, verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated! Absolutely no unlawful activity will be tolerated on any Association property common grounds. This includes underage consumption of alcohol, drug use, etc. Any such activity will be reported to the Police.  

 

No pets are allowed in the pool area.

 

No hanging or sitting on the pool rope.  

 

Baby oil is not permitted in the pool area. If using suntan lotion, please shower before going into the pool.  

No open wounds or persons with communicable diseases are allowed in the pool.

 

Anyone with  cuts, abrasions or communicable viruses will be asked to leave the pool area.  

 

Pool and Recreation Rules of these Policies and Procedures are subject to change and modification at the opening of each pool season. Said changes and/or modifications shall be distributed at the opening of each season and shall supersede this section.
